It's a common misconception that to fit a large size kitchen will cost twice as much as fitting one of half the size. This is due to many company's and fitters charging for the size or area of the kitchen being fitted, as opposed to the actual number of units to be fitted.

Where as in a large kitchen you would use larger units and double units in areas where in a small kitchen wouldn't otherwise fit, you can actually use less units than a smaller kitchen.

This is why we price our kitchen fitting in relation to the number of units and appliances to be installed and not the size or area of the kitchen.

The diagram above shows how you can use exactly the same number of units in a kitchen that measures 2.5m x 2,0m as one that measures 2.1m x 1.5m. So if you are only fitting the same number of units in both kitchens, why pay twice as much for the larger one.

You may well pay more to fit a large kitchen in comparison to a smaller one but not twice as much. The extra cost for installing a larger kitchen should simply reflect the cost of fitting the extra doors, plinths, cornice and pelmet required.

We specialize in fitted kitchens so If you have had a quote or are considering having one fitted, give us a call and see how much we can save you.
